Minamiuonuma, Niigata is the area filled with beautiful farm village landscape. The landscape of mountains, streams and rice fields reminds us of old Japan. The area is well known for Koshihikari, considered to be the best rice in Japan.
Ryugon is an elegant Japanese style ryokan in this area. Ryugon's architecture is grand utilizing a number of traditional Japanese farmhouses revived for accommodation. You are greeted with warm hospitality by the dedicated staff. Gorgeous garden and great hot spring will surely rejuvenate your body and soul.

Each room has its own unique features and equipped with Western-style beds. Guest rooms at Ryugon are broadly categorized into three themes. Most rooms accommodate up to 4 guests, but one of classic rooms can accommodate up to 8 guests, and private villa can accommodate up to 10 guests.
- Villa Suite - Luxury rooms that combine traditional and contemporary settings, equipped with an open-air hot spring bath facing the garden *Although villa suite type does not mean a stand-alone house, this type offers superior privacy.
- Classic - Japanese-style rooms that utilize century-old buildings that have long supported life in snowy regions, conveniently interconnected seamlessly from the public space
- Private Villa - A traditional Japanese house for exclusive rental, featuring a living room, dining kitchen, two bedrooms, an open-air bath, sauna, and a mini pool (total of 175 sqm).
